Mac's Musings

Fr. Francis J. McNamara, S.J., is McQuaid Jesuit's Alumni Chaplain.  In addition to his service at McQuaid Jesuit, Father Mac is also the Sacramental Minister at Saint Joseph's Parish, Rush, NY.

Ministry to the Aged and Infirm:  Father McNamara and Father Fischer visit alumni and the parents and grandparents of alumni and friends of McQuaid Jesuit who are in nursing homes or in long-term care facilities.  They typically bring the Eucharist or celebrate the other Sacraments with them.  Please contact either Jesuit and request a pastoral visit.  Father McNamara's phone number is 585-256-6123, and Father Fischer's is 585-256-6109.

Wake and Funeral Ministers Needed:  Father McNamara and Father Fischer represent McQuaid at all Rochester-area wakes and funerals of McQuaid alumni and their families.  If you are an alumnus and would like to help them represent your alma mater at the wake or funeral, please contact Father McNamara at 585-256-6123.  Volunteers may set their own schedules based on their own capabilities and needs.  Wake and funeral ministry are important ways McQuaid alums may continue in their service as men for others.
