Alums Unexpectedly Connect in California

Here's one for the alumni record book. I teach at Shasta Community College in Redding, California. Now Redding is far northern California, not quite Oregon and unofficially part of the State of Jefferson. I was minding my own business while monitoring a computer lab and I happened upon a young lady name Melissa wearing a visor that said, of all things, "McQuaid." Of course that could not be McQuaid Jesuit High School, not way out here! I took a chance of making a fool of myself and asked - "Surely that's not McQuaid Jesuit High School in Rochester, NY." And she said it surely was - her dad graduated in, I think she said 1971. Of course, that makes him a younger man that me, I graduated in 1962. And so it came to pass that Mark Miller and John Cicero have had coffee at Sue's Java Cafe in Redding, California to discuss the good old days. What are the odds???
