Jim Clapp is Emeritus Professor of Urban Planning at San Diego State University. He recently wrote a piece on St. Francis Xavier's toe in the March edition of the Dragon City Journal, which is part of his website, Urbis Media. He is currently working on a review of Jonathan Spence's The Memory Palace of Matteo Ricci, which is about the Jesuits in Asia during the 16th century.
1959
Peter Mykytyn was recently appointed an Associate Editor of International Journal of E-Business Research in January. As an Associate Editor he is responsible for reviewing academic/scholarly manuscripts prepared by academicians who have submitted them for peer review. He also analyzes the results of the reviews by reviewers and makes publication recommendations to the journal's editor. In the Spring semester he received the 2006 Excellence Through Commitment Award as the Outstanding Researcher in the College of Business and Administration at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. The award is based on his scholarly research conducted and published during the previous year.
Peter and his wife, Kathy, recently spent a month in Belgium visiting his son and his wife, and two children/ grandchildren. His son is a Major in the Air Force and is stationed in Belgium with NATO. They visited Normandy, the invasion beaches, the American cemetery, St. Mer Eglise, and various museums. They also visited Bastogne, famous for the Battle of the Bulge. That was important because Peter's father was a tank commander with Patton's Army and participated in that campaign. They went to Brugge, which is a famous old city in Belgium and to Breendonk, a WW II concentration camp in Belgium. They also spent a day on the Rhine River, which brought back many memories because Kathy and Peter met in Germany in the mid '60s; He was a young 2nd lieutenant, and she was a teacher for the Department of Defense. They did a lot of traveling in Germany at that time and were married there as well.

Robert Pizzi is Physics Instructional Manager for the last two years at the University of California Santa Barbara. He manages all labs and lecture demonstrations for the physics department. He participates in writing and designing new labs. He teaches a Holography lab to senior physics students. His first grandchild, Matthew Aaron Pizzi, was born 13 months ago.
Brian Callahan retired after 34 years in banking with the former Central Trust Company and M&T Bank in the position of Vice-President of Commercial Lending. He and his wife, Carol, have moved to Sun City, Arizona, as full-time residents of the Sun Belt, where his 91-year-old mother is also living.
Frank Staropoli was written about in Mark Hare's column in the Democrat and Chronicle for his choice of selling his thriving family business 30 years ago and working for the Catholic Church. Staropoli has maintained a life of service to his fellow man. Frank was a Co-director of the Rochester diocese's office of family life, he helped launch Rogers House Restaurant, a ministry/business run by ex-offenders, formed a leadership coaching business, and brings his ministry to prison inmates, which he has enjoyed for more than 20 years.

Eugene Pigott was nominated by New York Gov. George Pataki to the New York State Court of Appeals. Pigott is the presiding justice of the appellate division in Buffalo. His nomination was confirmed by the New York State Senate on September 15, 2006.
Mark Tuohey was named a 2005 "Washingtonian of the Year" by the Washingtonian Magazine for his work in helping to fix up youth athletic facilities in the D.C. metro area. His sons, Brendan and Sean, were also named Washingtonians of the Year for starting "Playing for Peace," an international organization that strives to mend differences among people through basketball. Mark Tuohey was also recently featured in Washington law trade publication Legal Times.

Eric Kendrick was inducted into the Section V Cross Country Hall of Fame with the Class of 2005. Eric joins storied McQuaid cross country coach, Bob Bradley, as an inductee.

Tim Beecher is a senior vice president and senior partner with Fleishman-Hillard, a global public relations firm based in Saint Louis. Wife Nita is an attorney working for ORC Worldwide (labor, employment, and compensation consultants). Daughter Katie was married in April, son Jim will be commissioned in the U.S. Army next May, stepson Charles is a senior at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and son Patrick is an eighth-grader. Dan Warmenhoven, Network Appliance CEO, wrote a June 8 editorial in BusinessWeek Online entitled, "Protect Me, Protect My Data."
Tom Herlehy stopped by McQuaid on Wed., June 14 for an interview with Alumni Director Mike Doser. They discussed Herlehy's extraordinary career in international health and human services, and the hand that Jesuit education had in forming his life's mission. Listen to the Podcast right here: Part I; Part II. Herlehy and his wife, Val, have lived in Cairo, EGYPT, since 1999. Tom now works for CARE-USA with their head office in Atlanta, GA. Tom and Val's three children all go to school in cairo, with Niall finishing the 9th grade (age 15), Chris finishing the 7th grade (age 13) and Aine finishing the 3rd grade (age 9). Tom is the head of a project that helps impoverished farmers raise their income through introducing high-value crops.

Hon. Frank Geraci recieved the 11th Annual Nathaniel Award - awarded to individuals who go above and beyond the call of duty in the name of justice. Judge Geraci has served as Special Assistant District Attorney, Monroe County; Assistant U.S. Attorney, Western District of New York; Partner, Law Firm of Geraci and Feldman; Rochester City Court Judge, and Monroe County Court Judge.
Richard Nugent passed away in March. He was a semi-retired Systems Analyst in Fort Lauderdale. His hobby was investing in equities.

Peter Meade, M.D.,
is the Director of Trauma Service at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield, Calif. He recently wrote a piece, "Police and Domestic Dogbite Injuries," for medical journal, Injury Extra. He also recently wrote an essay, "My Visit to Kpando: One Physician's Experience," for the Mission Doctors Association.
Ted Colucci and his wife, Roberta Ryan, live in a great old Rochester City home, that just turned 100 years old. Ted is the Regional Director for the Allstate Workplace Division, for the Northern New York Region. His wife is an Executive Assistant to the three Regional Managers for JP Morgan Chase.

Peter Messner and his brother Gregory, '78 were featured in an article in Businesss Strategies Magazine for their family owned and operated, Messner Flooring
David Williams worked in federal government for more than 26 years; four years with the Office of Secretary of Defense, and 22 years with the Department of the Army. He is currently working on his Doctorate in Business Management (Human Resources Management) at the University of Maryland. He is employed with the Office of Personnel Management (10 months) where he is responsible for developing new analytic techniques (the bulk of his dissertation) to develop optimal workforce planning strategies for the entire 1.8 million civilian employees in the government sector (excluding post office and foreign service). He has two children, Jason (16) and Allison (15), who attend boarding schools in Carbondale, Ill. and Salt Lake City, Utah respectively. He would like to hear from fellow classmates, especially those who live in or near the Washington, DC area.

Kevin Callahan is a Professor of "English as a Second Language" at McGill University in Montreal. He and his wife, Judy, have a 3-year old son, Daniel.

Terry Brownell is currently working on the design for Intel's 3rd facility in China. He spends time jointly in the US and Shanghai, with the intention of starting an expat assignment of three years sometime in late 2007. His two daughters are both attending the University of Colorado, the oldest, Gwynn, is in her first year of graduate school, while the youngest, Aidan, is a sophomore. Terry's wife, Alpha, continues to work with the Appaloosa National Horse club and locally in schooling customers. Terry's spare time is spent building and riding bicycles. His collection currently stands at about 20 bikes, and he generally manage four to eight thousand miles per year. The New Mexican weather is a blessing in this regard. Rick Thomas was admitted to the Illinois bar. Brother Robert Thomas, '70, Illinois Supreme Court Justice, swore Rick in during a May 4 ceremony. Dave Wunder retired in June after more than 28 years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a colonel. He has taken a civilian position as an environmental lawyer with the Office of General Counsel at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, N.C.
William Hudon, professor of history and chair of the Bloomsburg University (Pa.) History Department, received the outstanding teacher of the year award at Commencement May 13. Graduating seniors nominated him for his helpfulness and accessibility outside the classroom.
Eric Holmes celebrated 25 years of wedded bliss with the former Maryann Chambon on Jan. 7, 2006. In October 2005, he was named Group Safety Engineer for the Los Alamos National Laboratory's Dual Axis Radiographic Hydrodynamic Test (DARHT) Facility operated by the Dynamic Experimentation (DX) Division, DX-6 Group. The facility performs non-nuclear testing using high performance x-rays to measure the many complex, dynamic aspects of nuclear weapons in support of the Stockpile Stewardship program.

Mark Borkowski is a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES), which is the highest tier of the federal civil service. He is currently serving as the Executive Director for Mission Support of the United States Border Patrol in Washington, DC.
John Lipman, M.D., an interventional radiologist with the Atlanta Interventional Institute, was recently featured in a cover story for the Metro Atlanta Edition of M.D. News, called "Less Risk, Less Pain and Shorter Recovery Times."
Paul Salzetta lives in Chicago and has been married to wife Meg for 14 years and they have 3 children, Nico, Anthony and Marco. He is a partner in at Winters Enright Salzetta & O'Brien, which concentrates on plaintiff's wrongful death cases and severe or catastrophic injuries. He recently obtained a jury verdict of $27 million for a woman rendered quadriplegic in a motor vehicle collision.
Tom Marchand is in his 22nd year at Eastman Kodak Company, working as a Systems Analyst. He is married 22 years to wife Lynne, and has two teenage daughters, Melissa and Miranda.

Mike Morone recently graduated from the U of R with Master's Degree in School Administration, and is looking to move into an Assistant Principal position in Rochester. He still teaches in the city, and is entering his 10th year there. Last year, he ran (slowly!) two marathons, and this year plans to run a few more, including one in Humbolt, California with Doug Tickner, '77. Good luck to everyone!

Tim Scheg is happily remarried to Laurie. Many new additions to family. Stepson Christopher, stepson Michael, stepdaughter Kalli, and our newest addition Emma 15 months old. This is in addition to my two existing daughters Amanda and Carly. We have quite a full household. But I have only had girls, so no new future alumni from me. Maybe I can use the tuition money towards a second bathroom. One can only dream.

Matt Cleary will be receiving the Camp Counselor Volunteer of the Year award from the Epilepsy Foundation in Rochester N.Y. He has been a camp counselor since the first year of the program. This summer was the program's 15th anniversary. The award will be given at the Epilepsy Conference at St. John Fischer College. on Saturday, November 4th, 2006.
John McGraw is chairman of the Tom Finucane Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann (CCE), a world-wide non profit cultural organization. Recently, McQuaid 2006 alumnus John Ryan put together a "ceili" dance with the help of the Irish Musicians Association. There were about 75 people who attended. John started his own band at McQuaid, and several of them will be there next year to continue on. The Irish Musicians Assoc. is part of CCE.

Reed Lifka just completed a 165-mile AIDS Charity Bike ride from Miami to Key West, January 6th and 7th. He raised $5,755.00 and was in the Top-5 for donations. Many alumni from the Class of '81 kicked in to help him reach his goal.

Eric Lipman was appointed administrative judge for the state of Minnesota. He previously served as deputy secretary of state.
Matthew Huggins and wife Patricia Reid Huggins announce the arrival of Rose Virginia Reid Huggins, their first child, on Aug. 2, 2006. Mom is on leave from her job at Booz Allen Hamilton, a Virginia-based consulting firm. Matthew is back at work in Washington D.C. at the International Finance Corporation, which is part of the World Bank Group.
Sean O'Brien recently moved out to San Diego with his wife and two children to follow an opportunity with his wife’s career.

Scott Smith is teaching Old Testament and Art History at Christian Brothers High School (CBHS) in Memphis, TN. CBHS is an all-male Catholic high school with an enrollment of 900. Having been a Protestant pastor and teacher, Scott and his wife, Amy, are recent converts to Catholicism. They have two children, Salem (age 12) and Kara-Grayce (age 7).
Kevin Crane CDT is President of Crane Dental Laboratory, Inc. in business since 1992, specializing in removable prosthetics and providing service for dentists throughout New York State. He resides in Avon, New York and is married with 3 children.
Todd Ellis is the Manager of Wireless Systems for the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative. He oversees wireless communication needs for over 1,200 electric and telephone cooperative utilities across the country. He and his family reside in Cary, N.C. In September ‘05 his son Pierce was awarded his Eagle rank by the Boy Scouts of America in Raleigh, N.C. An adult Eagle himself, Todd is very proud of his son, a 4.25 GPA sophomore at Green Hope High School, Cary, N.C. Todd wishes he had that kind of grade point average when he attended McQ!

Brian Ernisse recently moved back to New York State as the Director of the Air Force Research Laboratory, Information Grid division in Rome, NY.
Frank McLaughlin was recently promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Claims Officer of Assicurazioni Generali, US Branch in New York City. Frank has been with the Italian insurance company Generali since October 2004 and currently serves on the board of directors of two subsidiary companies. Currently, unmarried and childless, Frank is looking to remedy this situation within the next 7 to 10 years or so.
Joe Cilurzo was recently promoted to Director of Sales for Office Superstores and Target at the MeadWestvaco Co., where he has worked for the past 18 years. He will be relocating to Dayton, Ohio this spring.

Jim Dass is working as a Human Resources Director for the Consumer Products Division (pool chemicals, household cleaners) at Chemtura. He is living in McDonough Ga., (southeast suburb of Atlanta), with Dina, who teaches 4 th grade at a local school and Grace, who is turning 6. He says it’s pretty warm in Georgia so he is staying and extends a warm welcome to anyone heading to Atlanta.

Ray Harshbarger, M.D. is a plastic surgeon at Walter Reed Army Medical Center and Director of Cleft & Craniofacial Surgery. He was recently promoted to Lieutenant Colonel, US Army. He is married to Dawn, a children's author, with one son, Jackson (1.5 yrs. old). He is deploying to Afghanistan July for six months.

John Frey was married in October 2005 to Dr. Lisa Marie Frey (nee Vogel), PhD., who was named after Elvis' daughter. Classmate Sharif Eassa and his brothers Michael, '84, and Philip, '87, were among the groomsmen. He's currently living back in the Greater Rochester Metroplex and working as a Principal Attorney Editor at Thomson West.
Kraig Siracuse and his wife are lobbyists in Washington. They just bought a new home in Alexandria, Va.
Michael Fina will be married in Boston on Sept. 23.
Marty Cournan resides in Pembroke, MA, with his wife Jane, boys Ryan (6), Will (5) Griffin (3) and Mastreiver named Stanley Rocketship Cournan. Marty is SR VP, Head Trader at Essex Investment Management, and holds both the CFA and CMT designations. Jeff Jodoin works in Tulsa, Okla., for FlightSafety International in the Simulations System Division. He was married in October 2000 to Karla. Son Carter Forrest was born January 2004 and daughter Audrey Angelina was born in September. He misses the snow.
Dave Kinsky and his wife had their third child: Alexander Martin Kinsky. Dave is working for Cisco as a Systems Engineer in N.J.
John Miller was made partner in Data Age Business Systems, Inc., a software development company he started working at after graduating from SUNY Oswego. John and his wife Shelly live in Redington Beach, FL with their two kids, Katheryn Elizabeth and John Morgan.
Patrick Seiffert and wife Julie announce the birth of their daughter Elizabeth Bahia Seiffert on November 1st. Patrick is a Senior Brand Manager with GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Mike Tobin is captain of the Lansing (Mich.) Fire Department. He teaches a course in Hazardous Materials Management at Michigan State University. He has an M.S. in Hazardous Material Management (Western Michigan University), a B.S. in Chemistry (Michigan State University) and a B.A. in English Literature (Siena Heights, Adrian, Mich.). He recently restored a 130-year-old house on 65 acres of land.
Scott Martzloff played in 17 games as for the Rochester RazorSharks of the American Basketball Association as of Jan. 16. He averaged 4.0 points and 3.3 rebounds. Scott is assistant principal at Edison Tech. The RazorSharks were 15-3.
Geoffrey Ziegler is persuing his musical career in California. Geoff took his musical talent from Colgate University in the mid-nineties to Los Angeles and eventually formed his group, Venice Blues Legends. As of May, 2000 Geoff's band was regularly playing at Dan Aykroyd's blues club, House of Blues. He has also released an albumn with his hard Rock project, Geoff Ziegler and Captain Black, on his own label: evil Z Records.

Daniel Barry and his wife Eileen are the proud parents of Kevin (2/2003) and Dylan (9/2006). Daniel is the Regional Sales Manager for Wells Fargo Private Client Services in Denver, CO.
Frank and Jen DiPane celebrated the birth of their first child, Maya Esther, on March 28th.
Matt Hendricks is engaged to be married Nov. 11 to Michele Haffner of Stratford, CT.
They both currently reside in Fairfield, CT. Matt is the Senior Technical Recruiter for Pepperweed Consulting.
Michael J. Petrantoni is a full-time singer/songwriter performing under the name "Michael J". He currently resides in Gainesville, FL. He has released 7 independent CDs since 1992 and has shared stages with acts such as The Goo Goo Dolls, Sister Hazel, Howie Day, Colin Quinn of SNL, Cheap Trick, Joan Osborne, Angie Aparo, and Art Alexakis of Everclear. He has written songs with Stan Lynch, legendary drummer for Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Producer/Songwriter for Don Henley, Tim McGraw, The Eagles, Bob Dylan, Stevie Nicks, Ringo Starr, John Mellencamp, Aretha Franklin, The Eurythmics and the late George Harrison among many others. Michael opened University Of Florida's Gator Growl 2002, the largest student-run pep rally in the world, at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, FL in front of a capacity crowd of 56,403 in the fall of that year with comedians Bill Cosby and Harland Williams. In August 2005, Michael's song "Spin" was chosen to appear in the upcoming feature film "3 Needles" starring Lucy Liu, Chloë Sevigny, Shawn Ashmore, Stockard Channing, 2005 Golden Globe recipient Sandra Oh, and Oscar winner Olympia Dukakis. Worldwide theatrical release of the film is set for fall of 2006. Another of Michael's songs, "Nothing To Say" was also featured in "episode 109" of ABC Family's hit television series "Falcon Beach". The show will subsequently air in 18 different countries around the world including France, Scandanavia, and the UK. Michael is currently working on his first National/International CD release which will feature the drumming talents of 1987 McQ alumnus Eric Stock of the band Stroke 9. Patrick Murphy married Amy Ziccarelli, orignally from Henrietta, on Aug. 5 at Colgate Divinity in a ceremony performed by former McQuaid Jesuit principal Fr. Phil Judge, S.J.
Bryan Dehmler-Buckley lives in Richmond, Va., with his two kids, Owen (5), who just started kindergarten, and Lucy (3), who would like to start kindergarten too, and his wife Danielle. Danielle is the owner of a preschool called the Cedarhouse School that is looking to open up their second site sometime in 2007-'08. He is working for Hyperion Solutions as Principal Product Manager. They are loving the fact that they are close to family, but are looking to move back out to Colorado when the Cedarhouse has made them their retirement nest egg.
Vincent Anthony Frassetto married Kasie Dawn Shouse on May 8, 2004 and they recently welcomed son Marcus Aurelius Frassetto on Feb. 8, 2006.
Joey Guisto married Carla Ginther on July 23, 2005. The wedding was at St. Louis Church in Pittsford, NY and the honeymoon was in San Juan, St. Thomas and Tortola.
Al Valenti got engaged to Shannon Gibson on December 23, 2005. Al lives in Buffalo working for the printing industry as a database manager. Shannon is a Detective Constable with the Niagara Regional Police in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
Christopher Hamann and wife Valerie welcomed their second daughter, Elizabeth Ann, on Sept. 17, 2005. Their first daughter, Katelynn Marie, was born on April 13, 2002. Chris and Valerie have been married seven years. They served in the Navy for nine years and then became Paramedics in the Rochester community. They went to SUNY Stony Brook together and have been working at Park Ridge Hospital as Physician Assistants in the Emergency Dept. and Internal Medicine, respectively, for four years now.

David LoVerdi and wife J'Aimee celebrated the birth of their daughter - Sofia Rose - on July 23rd, 2005 at Saint Vincent's Hospital in New York City.
Sean Norton and wife Heather welcomed their first child, Cameron Parker Norton, on Feb 16th, 2006. Sean is Senior Manager within the Financial and Performance Management group of Accenture.

Thomas J. Brewer, M.D., married Kim Solar during May in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ont. Brewer begins a fellowship in critical care medicine at Strong Memorial Hospital in July. He is a physician with R&B Medical Group in Williamsville, N.Y.
Rob Bradley and his wife Carly are expecting their first child in April and are excited! Rob and Carly expect Bob to make an excellent grandfather/babysitter in his retirement.
Vince Magguilli Jr. and wife, Anne, had their first child on August 20, 2006. Her name is Jessica Elizabeth Magguilli.
Matthew T. Wegman and his wife Allison are expecting their second daughter Sydney Mae on Nov. 2. Lillian Grace was born April 1, 2005.

Aaron Nolan married Cosmina Olariu on September 3, 2006 at St. Mary's Church in Canandaigua. They recently purchased their first house in Providence, R.I., where he works as a general dentist and she is in residency for pediatric dentistry.
Mike Viscardi and wife , Sarah, had their first child on January 8th, 2006. His name is Henry Michael Viscardi and he weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces.

Colin Byrnes, partner in Marquis Media LLC, serves on the development committee of the Ronald McDonald House. Started the Young Leadership Council and has taken the lead in the Partners Pantry — a large supply cupboard which services guests at the two local homes. His services were acknowledged in Mark Hare's column in the Democrat & Chronicle.
Matt Davin completed the Navy’s “TOPGUN” Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor training at Naval Air Station Fallon (Nev.).
Brandon Smaglo received his doctorate in medicine from SUNY Downstate Medical Center at Brooklyn and will start his residency in Internal Medicine next month, also at Downstate.
Mike Linehan opened his second Camille's Sidewalk Cafe on Feb. 6 in Pittsford Plaza. His other location is at 657 Park Avenue.

Brian Murray earned his M.B.A. from Seton Hall University. He is an Assistant Bursar with Seton Hall.
Chris Dangler is one of 22 bike riders participating in the "Ride for World Health", a cross country bike ride with a goal to raise public awareness of global health issues. The trip began in early April in San Francisco and will conclude in late May in Delaware. Members of the team are conducting educational lectures for various high school, college, or civic groups at many of the cities or towns where they spend the night as the trip progresses. Luis Labrador is trying out for FOX TV's "American Idol." Labrador, who teaches sciece in Manhattan, made it to the third round of tryouts and will sing for the trio of "American Idol" judges sometime in late August/early September.
Marc-Anthony Arena sold the juice bar he started at R.I.T. and has decided to go into semi-retirement for a while. He plans on going into consulting full-time.
Jim Brasser earned an M.B.A. with a concentration in Public Accounting from Fairfield University School of Business in May 2005. He is an Associate Auditor for KPMG in Stamford, CT, and is currently residing in Greenwich, CT.
2001
Paul Knittle, ENS, graduated from the United States Naval Academy in the spring of 2005 and reported to the USS COLE (DDG 67) in Norfolk, VA. Onboard COLE, he is serving as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer and will be deloying in the summer of 2006.
2002
Aaron Fraver, who will graduate from La Salle University (Philadelphia) in May, has been published in the American Studies Journal. His piece titled "Counterfeit History" details the "rewriting" of history common in today's high school text books. Additionally, at an awards luncheon prior to the graduation ceremony Aaron is receiving the Provost's Award, recognizing him among the top students in the American Studies Department.
Will Fisher ABH3, finished his third year of enlistment in the US Navy onboard the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72). He is currently on an overseas deployment to the West Pacific and will return to his homeport, Everett, WA in summer of '06. His department officers are recommending him for the Navy Seaman to Admiral Program (STA-21), and he is now considering a commissioning as a United States Naval Pilot.
Tony Terradas recently graduated from the University of Rochester in May, 2006 with a B.A. in Economics and a Marketing and General Business Studies certificate from the William E. Simon School of Business. Shortly thereafter he started working for Time Warner Cable in advertising sales as an account executive. Tony also became engaged recently to Katie Washington of Pittsford in July of 2006 and plans to get married in the summer of 2007.

Christian Bodley made the Mercyhurst College Dean's List for the academic year 2005-2006.
Michael Hogan has been living in LA since July of 2006 and pursuing a music career with his band Streamline. They're doing well and recently played at B.B. King's LA Club among other venues. While he's home for the holidays, he'll be doing an acoustic show at the California Brew Haus on December 28th.

Nolan Fraver is a sophomore journalism major at St. Bonaventure University. He has been on the Dean's List every semester . He recently had two pieces chosen for publication in the Bonaventure literary magazine. One featured the staff of the Bonaventure- sponsored homeless shelter in Olean, and the second featured Loren Taddeo, '04 and his decision to leave college for the Marine Corps.

Jesse Malgieri a sophomore vocal performance major at Indiana University in Bloomington, IN. was the only undergraduate cast in Madama Butterfly. The opera is the final of 6 operas presented at the Jacobs School of Music and Madama Butterfly is the headlining opera of the season. Jesse will play the role of Zio Bonzo (Uncle Bonze). This is Jesse's debut with Indiana University's Opera Theater. This year he has also held solos with the University Chorale and the Motet Choir.
