1959

Peter Mykytyn was named co-researcher of the year in Southern Illinois University Carbondale's College of Business and Administration.

John Clapp retired in July as senior staff psychologist and training faculty member at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He also was the commencement speaker for the psychiatry residency and psychology internship program this past June.

Michael Wolford was named president of the Monroe County Bar Association in July 2004.

1960

Neil Gilmartin was named "2003 Engineer of the Year" by BellSouth's science and technology division. Currently he has eight patents for various software innovations.

James Lynd received the Paul Harris Fellowship Award from the Penfield Rotary Club for his community involvement.

Kenneth Siarkiewicz was named Pinal County (Ariz.) 2002-2003 volunteer of the year.

1961

John Porea is employed by the Maryland State Police following his retirement from the ATF in 2001 and the USAF/ANG in 2003.

1962

Anthony Zollo lives part-time in Florida, following his retirement from Eastman Kodak Company in 2000.

1963

Robert Gillis is director of parole and community services for the Connecticut Department of Corrections.

Michael Griffin, and his wife, Patricia, proudly announce that all three of their sons graduated from the University of Detroit Jesuit High School.

1965

Paul Engels began a new marketing company, Key Leads.

Mark Hobson is awaiting the birth of his grandson.

Michael Jeary lives in Rumson, N.J., and is employed with Della Femina Rothschild Jeary and Partners.

1966

Martin Duffy lives in Bogota and is an English teacher at the Colegio San Carlos. He and his wife, Maria Mercedes, who manages her family's dairy farms, have a son, Anthony.

1967

Paul Hermann is still chipping ice in Saranac Lake and wants fellow classmates to stop by if they are in the area.

1968

Thomas Herlehy is in his sixth year living and working in Cairo, Egypt. His three children are currently in the second, sixth and eighth grades.

Robert McRae is clinical associate professor of surgery at Brown University. He lives in Providence, R.I., and has three children.

1969

William Schenkel is the financial secretary of St. Paul's Church Parish Council and the Knights of Columbus. He is also a member of the church choir.

1970

Ralph Celentani’s first son, John Vincent Celentani, (Marquette University H.S., '00, and Northwestern University, '04) has entered the Society of Jesus as a first year novice. The Wisconsin Province Novitiate is located in St.Paul, Minn. John's apostolate is conducting retreats in local prisons. When he's not doing that, he studies the Constitutions of the Society of Jesus and does the grocery shopping for about 20 first- and second-year novices. Second son, Paul Francis is a sophomore at Marquette University High School, Milwaukee, Wis. The Jesuit tradition continues.

Robert White has been employed as a telecommunications manager for Teleordia Technologies for 24 years. The company develops software products that improve the quality of cellular communications. He and his wife, Emily, have a daughter and a son.

George Neczyporuk placed third in sparring at the 30th National All Martial Arts Tournament in May 2004. George also has a third degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Gregory Taylor works both as a financial advisor and a recruiter of financial advisors.

1971

Stephen Jaquith has worked as a consulting forester for more than 20 years. Stephen, who resides in Muncy, Pa., recently was awarded the Presidential Field Forester Award by The Society of American Foresters.

Joe Schaeffer was married in September 2004. He is a network technician for Rush-Henrietta Central Schools.

1972

Keith Bock is first vice president at Wachovia Securities (formerly Prudential Securities) and is celebrating his 26th year with the company.

James Bower, and his wife, Carolyn Livi, announce the birth of their third child this past May. They reside on a ranch outside of San Antonio, Texas, where Jim holds a joint position as professor of computational biology at the University of Texas, and the University of Texas Health Science Center.

Phillip Brylski lives in Hanoi and works for the World Bank as manager of the environment and natural resources programs.

Tom Gaffney recently hosted a reunion for several members of the Class '72 at his home in Ulster Park, N.Y.

David Nagle is an agency manager for Travelers Insurance. He and his wife, Deborah, have three children, Sara, Sean, and Joshua.

1973

James O'Connor, and his wife, Anne, have two sons, Zach and A.J.

1974

Burke McCarthy, vice president for Product Development Systems & Solutions in Rochester, co-wrote his first book, Six Sigma for Marketing Processes.

Rick Sass has been employed by by USA TODAY, since 1984 and is the general manager for the Pacific Northwest region. He and his wife, Margaret, have a daughter and a son.

Thomas Wahl was recently named chairman of the board of directors of the Easter Seals New York-Western Region. Tom is a senior vice president at Morgan Stanley.

1975

R. Emmett Michie holds a master's degree in special education. He teaches students with emotional and behavioral disabilities in a Seattle suburb. He continues to act and was a member of the Magical Mystery Troupe this past summer.

1976

Thomas McLain was named chief executive officer and president of Nabi Biopharmaceuticals in Boca Raton, Fla., in June 2003. He was also elected to the board of Eastman Chemical in February 2004. Tom has two sons.

1977

Michael Tuohey and his wife, Ellen, announced the arrival of their son, Ian, born in December '03.

Greg Maggio is an international labor officer for the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor, at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C.

1978

Luke Miller received his second E.T. Meredith Award for Creative Excellence in two years. He is editor of the quarterly magazine, Garden Ideas & Outdoor Living, which is published by Better Homes & Gardens. In 2004, he received an APEX award for "Most Improved Magazine or Book."

Bob DeWitt is spokesman for the United Way in Pittsburgh, Pa. and teaches journalism at Point Park University. He also own his own consulting practice, which enables him to assist the St. Paul of the Cross Retreat Center promote weekend retreats.

William Flow and his wife have been married for more than 20 years. They reside in Gilroy, Calif., where he works for MCL Software.

Luke Miller is editor of Garden Ideas & Outdoor Living magazine. He received the E.T. Meredith Creative Excellence Award for a story published in 2003.

1979

Stephen LaSalle is currently vice president of planning, finance and tax, at Celltech in Rochester, NY.

Tim Calabrese is an owner of an architectural landscape firm in Ludow, Vt. Tim and his wife, Elizabeth, to whom he has been married for 16 years, have three children.

Vaun Grattet is working temporarily in Washington, D.C., for Lockheed Martin. He and his family, including his newborn daughter, will return to Colorado approximately within the year.

Marc Jaromin, and his wife, Michelle, have three daughters, Brittany, Emma, and Faith.

1980

Christopher DiPasquale is a trusts and estates attorney with Harris Beach, LLP. He has been with the firm since 1987. Christopher was recently elected chairman of the board of directors of St. Ann's of Greater Rochester, Inc., a local not-for-profit corporation specializing in long-term care and senior services.

1981

Congratulations to Paul Zablotski on his marriage to Erica Jackson on July 30. The newly married couple resides in Arlington MA. In attendance at the wedding were Paul's brothers Joseph, '74, and Mark, '76, as well as best man Michael Swain and classmate Andrew Hamingson.

Michael Swain, Erin O'Brien and their two-year-old son Patrick welcome baby Mary Catherine, born May 20, 2005.

Reed Lifka lives in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., where he is regional sales manager for the Cendant Car Rental Group (Avis/Budget).

Scott Bride, and his wife, Ann, have two sons, Henry and Hardy. Scott lives in Sterling, Va., and is a senior research analyst for Freddie Mac.

Mitchell Mather, and his wife, Debra, have two children, Christopher and Shawn. They live in Colorado.

1982

Paul Fix started Classic Tube, Inc. in 1989. The company manufactures tubing products for the automotive aftermarket. He started his professional racing career in the Trans Am Road Racing Series in 2002. He and his wife, Lauren, have two children.

1983

Virgilio Madrid was recently promoted to a 2 year international assignment as chief credit officer for Cisco Capital, Asia Pacific Region, based in Singapore.

David Thomas is director for Intel Capital (LAR) in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He and his wife, Amy, have three daughters.

1984

Daniel Cardinali is president of Communities in Schools, located in Washington, D.C.

Joe Cilurzo returned to the United States in December 2003 and resides in Weehawken, N.J. Joe works for MeadWestvaco.

Stephen DelVecchio lives in central New York and is employed with Procter and Gamble Pharmaceuticals. Single since 1998, Stephen has two daughters.

Brian Ernisse is a Lt. Col. with the U.S. Air Force and is stationed at Nellis Air Force Base in Henderson, Nev. He and his wife, Silke, have two children, Josh and Rachel.

Christopher Fisher is president of a web advertising company, Direct2Home, Inc. Christopher and his wife, Betty, have two daughters, Floria and Kristina.

Marty Gmelin is a forester with the USDA Forest Service in Stanislaus National Forest located in Calif. He also skis and hikes in the High Sierras.

Kevin McCarthy lives in Scarsdale, N.Y., with his wife, Lisa, and three children, Connor, Katelyn, and Tyler. Kevin works at the Bank of Nova Scotia in New York City.

Frank McLaughlin works for Reliance Insurance Company. He also boxes as "Brutally Frank" at the Trinity Boxing Club in New York City.

James Stewart works in commercial sales for Time Warner where he sells Internet services to companies within the Rochester division.

Mike Tocci is a senior software developer for Xerox Corporation. He resides in Rochester.

1985

John R. Buck, an associate professor in the Dept. of Electrical and Computer Engineering & School for Marine Science and Technology at the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, was the recipient of the IEEE Education Society's Mac Van Valkenburg Early Career Teaching Award.  This award recognizes electrical engineering professors for contributions to the teaching of electrical engineering during the first 10 years of their career.

Jim Dass recently moved to Atlanta with Dina and Grace. He is the human resource manager at the BioLab Water Chemical Manufacturing Plant.

Mark Bock is the chief economist and principal forecaster for the Baltimore Gas and Electric Company.

David Connolly is a teacher at Twelve Corners Middle School in Brighton. He and his wife, Monica, have two children, Nathaniel and Laura.

Alfred Sette works for Alcatel. He and his wife, Judy, and their two sons reside in Windham, N.H.

1986

Ted Panczyszyn moved back to Philadelphia in 2004 and works for Northern Home Children and Family Services. He is playing goal in NYCGHA weekly.

George Schell, Jr. and his wife, have twin girls, Kathryn and Meredith, born in November '03. George practices law with his father, George Sr. '62, and can be reached at Georgejr@SchellLaw.com.

Patrick Honan resides in Nevada and works for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, after having completed a tour of duty with the Navy. He loves being a new dad.

Michael Marchetti resides in Chico, Calif., with his wife, Tanya, and is a professor of aquatic ecology at California State University. He drives a hybrid vehicle.

Sudeep Singh works for Lotus Capital Partners, LLP in London, England. He and his wife, Antje, have one daughter, Selina.

Brian Steenburgh, and his wife, Kara, have two daughters, Grace and Lilyann. They reside in Hopewell Junction, N.Y., where Brian works for IBM.

1987

John Refermat and wife Stacy are proud to announce the arrival of their third child Joseph David, on July 29, 2005.

David Kinsky resides in High Bridge, NJ, with his wife, and two children. He is employed by AT&T.

John Falzone is a personal trainer and a lifestyle counselor for Weight and Stress Management Company.

Philip Farchione lives in Houston, Texas, with his wife, Donna, and their three sons, Brian, Jarod, and Andrew. Phillip is a vice president of sales and marketing for Valeron Strength Films.

Thomas Nientimp, and his wife, Elizabeth, are expecting their first child in November 2004.

Christopher Schaeffer, and his wife, Heather, have three children. He works at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

John Stewart is a senior technical trainer at Eagle International in Rochester.

1988

John Kelly was married in September in Buffalo, N.Y. Numerous McQuaid alumni were present, including Kelly's uncles Ferdinand Smith, '63, Greg Smith, '69, and Guy Smith, '79, and also friends Greg Woodard, '88, Matt Bergin, '88, Brent Desiderio, '88, Steve Wilmarth, '88, Tom Prato, '84, Matt Parrinello, '89, and Jim Merkley, '88. Kelly lives in Arlington, Va., with wife Sara. He is an Assistant United States Attorney serving as Chief of Staff and Deputy Director of the Executive Office for United States Attorneys located in Washington, D.C.

Michael Tobin lives in Stockbridge, Mich., with his wife, Julie, and three children. He works for the City of Lansing Fire Department.

John Flannery married his wife, Kristine, in October 2000. They reside in Rochester.

Christopher Hanna returned to Rochester after 10 years in Atlanta. He owns Atomic Design, which offers graphic and website design services.

John O'Mara is working at Intel Corp., in Folsom, Calif. John is also pursuing a degree in biblical studies at Western Seminary.

Stephen Tisa lives in Newburyport, Mass., with his wife, Pamela, and their identical twin sons, Alex and Sean.

1989

Tobin Foryt and wife Kristie had their third son this winter, Preston.  He joins the Foryt Five of Kolby, 5 years old, and Taiden, 3 years old. Foryt is a national sales and marketing director for ACM Medical Laboratory, Inc., in Rochester.

Michael John Casey is an actor in Washington currently working on a production of Othello at the Shakespeare Theatre. After that, he will play Bob Cratchit in "A Christmas Carol" at Ford's Theater.

Frank Colombo, and his wife, Laura, recently celebrated 10 years of marriage. They have a daughter, Maddy.

Christopher Keating works for Rite Aid. He and his wife, Kristen, have one son, Jackson.

Carl Krivutza is living in Lake Norman, which is north of Charlotte, N.C. He works for Newell Rubbermaid.

Regan Mahoney lives in Centreville, Va., and works as an executive at Didlake, Inc., a nonprofit organization, which serves the disabled. Regan leads the organization that supports 15 federal and commercial contracts.

Christopher Mooney, and his wife, Janine, have twin children, Christopher and Meghan.

Mark Ruffo is a post-doctoral fellow in neurophysiology.

Ryan Sutter works at PayChex, Inc., and has two children, Laura and Matthew.

Mark Thomey has coached volleyball and baseball at McQuaid, where he also taught Math in 2003-04.

1990

Joey Guisto proposed to Carla Ginther on September 5, 2004. They were married on July 23, 2005 at St. Louis Church.

Chuck Morganson married May Lynn Tan in May 2004 in San Francisco.

Christopher Congdon recently celebrated his 15th year with Wegmans Food Markets. He was married in August 2004 and ran his first marathon in October 2003.

Michael Diehl attended RIT, was a former captain with the Marines, and is married. He works in the SWAT unit of the City Rochester Police Department.

Michael Doser is McQuaid’s Alumni Director, and also a freelance sports and business writer for various U.S. publications. In addition, Mike operates a high school scores-reporting media service called Scoreswire. He and his wife, Jill, have one daughter, Renee.

Vincent Frassetto married Kasie Dawn Shouse on May 8, 2004.

Greggory Smith is employed by Rochester Hots & Old Fashioned Hamburgers, a specialty food distributor. Gregory is also a restaurateur in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

J.R. Vogel practices law in Los Angeles.

1991

Bartholomew Chacchia is in his second year of law school at the University of Buffalo, and is working part-time as a paralegal at Hodgson Russ. He married Tricia Hall in June 2003.

Gary Dale is a geotechnical engineer working for Clough, Harbour and Associates in Albany, N.Y. He was married in October 2004.

John Hall, and his wife, Stacy, have two children. He is employed at Hall Family Chiropractic in Grand Haven, Mich.

Ted Naylon, and his wife, Gretchen, announce the birth of their daughter, Ashley Marie, who was born in April 2004.

David Schroeder relocated from Chicago to Penn Valley, Pa., with his wife, Stacey, in 2003. David is national sales manager with Aluminum Shapes, Inc., in New Jersey. David and Stacey recently welcomed their son, Jack David.

Rick Staropoli is an associate with Harris Chesworth O'Brien Johnstone Welch and Leone.

1992

Michael Finegan is the site manager for Nextel Communications in White Plains, NY.

David LoVerdi married J'Aimee Cronin in October 2004 in Manhattan. Fr. Frederick Betti, S.J., presided. In attendance were Jeffery Turri, Matthew Fico, Thomas Wilmarth, Jon Corsiglia, Andrew Leach , M.D., Timothy Abbamonte, M.D., and the groom's cousin, Joseph Clancy, all members of the class of '92. Also in attendance were Richard Rohrer, M.D., 58; Peter LoVerdi '58, Joseph LoVerdi, M.D., '85; and Michael LoVerdi '87. Anthony LoVerdi '89 served as best man.

Mark Birkett married Isabelle Perrault on August 28, 2004 in Chicago, where they reside.

Christian Klein is an opthamology resident at Case Western Reserve in Cleveland.

David Lorei heads the civil engineering division for Brandstetter Carroll in Cincinnati, Ohio. He and his wife, Allison, have two children, Zachary and Samantha.

Sean Norton married Heather in 2003. He works for Accenture in Andover, Mass.

Mehra Rohan received his MBA in 2003 from New York University. He works in real estate development in New York City.

David Skvorak recently earned his doctoral degree in piano performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where he is a member of the faculty. In recognition of his beginning studies at Hochstein Music School, David's parents initiated the David J. Skvorak Merit Scholarship, which was awarded this year to Spencer Seconi, Class of 2008.

1993

Joseph Talbot and his wife Leah recently had their second child, Cole, born in November 2005.

Jonathan Maurer ran for Monroe County Legislature in the 24th District, which borders McQuaid on the north side of Elmwood Ave.  Legislator Kevin Murray held the seat for 27 years and is retiring due to term limits. Maurer, who graduated from Georgetown and earned his Master's at University of Rochester, recently worked in economics, finance and management consulting for Charles River Associates in Boston, and is now working for Rochester Institute of Technology.

Joel DiMartino is an investment associate in private trusts at M&T Bank. He is pursuing his MBA at the University of Rochester Simon School of Business.

Patrick Hickey was just promoted to Administrator for the Center for Rochester's Health, a joint partnership between the University of Rochester Medical School, School of Nursing and the Monroe Country Dept of Health.

Daniel Doyle married Elizabeth Brown in November 2004. They are planning a move to Japan, where he will fly hornets from the deck of the USS Kitty Hawk.

Brian Holmes lives in McLean, VA and is a research chemist with the US Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC.

Craig Cypher received his doctorate in clinical psychology in August 2003. He is the clinical coordinator for the After School and Summer Camp Programs at Mt. Hope Family Center.

P. Grant Dwyer professed vows as a Jesuit scholastic. He is now studying philosophy and theology at Loyola University Chicago.

Dan Doyle is a Lt. j.g., with the United States Navy and flies F/A18 Hornet airplanes. He is stationed at Lemoore Naval Air Station in Calif.

Michael Muchard is a surgical resident at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.

Greggory Palermo, and his wife, Melanie, live in Ft. Myers, Fla., where Gregg is managing editor, investigative reporting, for both the ABC and NBC affiliates. He has received two Associated Press awards for his coverage on the Sanibel Island Bridge and improper disposition of confidential files by a Ft. Myers law firm. He has also been nominated to receive the Suncoast Regional Emmy award for an investigative report on the pet cemetery industry in Florida.

Michael Sciortino is currently Parma Town Court Judge, as well as an attorney with Chamberlain D'Amanda Oppenheimer & Greenfield focusing on personal injury, labor and employment law. Michael is a bass player with the local rock band, "Stifler's Mom."

Geoffrey Taylor is special events sales manager for the House of Blues in Los Angeles, Calif.

1994

Christian Zwahlen and his wife, Tanya Mooza Zwahlen, were recently featured in an article in Rochester's City newspaper, which interviewed people who chose to live and work in Rochester. Chris teaches English and theology at McQuaid.

James Fishgold works for UPS in Chandler, Ariz.

1995

Daniel Dedman married Laura Carroll on August 23, 2003.

Mark DiMartino earned a doctoral degree in dental surgery this past May. He began his general practice residency at Rochester General Hospital in July 2004.

Joseph Laiosa is a 1st Lt. with the 2nd Battalion, 108th Infantry, of the New York Army National Guard in Iraq. Joseph will return to his former position as a Rochester Police Officer.

John Pilato plans to wed Magan L. Carlson in July 2005.

Tim Schwalm is teaching advanced placement chemistry at Amityville High School in Long Island. Tim received his master's degree in chemistry from the SUNY at Stony Brook.

1996

Jason Leckinger married Mindy Ortolani on Aug. 27, 2005. Leckinger also became a Rochester Police Department officer this year.

John Gilbert and wife Stacy celebrated the birth of their first child, Elizabeth Grace Gilbert, at 6:04 pm August 23rd. John lives in Cleveland.

Kevin Dinino lives in New York City, where he is public relations manager at TD Waterhouse Investor Services.

William Morin accepted a position with the 2003 World Champion Florida Marlins and is the team's head athletic trainer in Jamestown, NY.

Jason Yee is in the third year of his doctoral program at the University of Chicago.

Kieran Chaudhry moved to Chattanooga this past June. He is an industrial engineer for the S.I. Corporation.

Matt Constantino teaches geometry at Central Lakes College in Brainerd, Minn.

Jason Osborn relocated to Chicago from London, England, and works for Kirkland & Ellis.

Jim Tempest is a director of a physical therapist clinical education program at CMC.

1997

Christopher Fox and Katie Howe of Leesburg, Va., were wed on Aug. 20.

Brian Mastrosimone and Marisa Ann Boddy were married on Aug. 6 at Blessed Sarament Church.

David Young and Stacey Anne Leicht of Oakland, N.J., are engaged and will be married April 29, 2006 at the University of Notre Dame, where Young graduated with a biochemistry degree in 2001. Young is now a graduate student at the University of Chicago pursuing a combined MD-Ph.D. degree.

Damian Esteban was awarded a master's degree in Islamic Studies and Arabic from McGill University in Montreal.

Pete Vandenberg is currently working on his JD/MBA at Case Western Reserve University.

Vishal Bagaria works as regional business development manager in an IT software solutions company.

Akos Mersich is studying for his Master's and Doctoral degrees.

Daniel O'Dea recently received his MBA degree in accounting.

John Shiga recently moved to Columbus and works for Nationwide Insurance Company.

Jonathan Witmer lives in San Diego. He hopes to parlay his law degree from University of San Diego into a career as a park ranger.1998

Nick Bovenzi has cut his first CD.  His stage name is Reality Fix and the CD is on sale at Record Archive on Mt. Hope Ave. It is entitled "Versatility of Emotion".  His web site is www.realisticfix.com.

Gregg Single, John Carroll University ('02), earned his Juris Doctor magna cum laude in May 2005 from Cleveland State University's Marshall College of Law. He still resides in Cleveland where he is prepaing to take the bar exam in July.

Edin Demirovic lives in Zagreb, Croatia, and works for NITA-PROMET.

Michael Linehan opened his first Camille's Sidewalk Café on Park Avenue in Rochester in April. He hopes to open a second location in Pittsford Plaza by December '05. Camille's is an upscale café serving gourmet wraps, sandwiches, paninis, soups, salads, smoothies and coffees.

Michael Pietropaoli has been promoted to banking officer at BB&T. Michael joined the bank in 2003.

Michael Rigoni was commissioned as a Naval Officer in November 2004.

Brendon Bielat is serving as a submarine officer aboard the USS Albuquerque.

Philip Bonham lives in Los Angeles, where he works as a software engineer and programmer.
